# Foreword

**This guide presents the method** [**for evaluating** ](https://www.bilancarbone-evaluation.com/guide-devaluation-des-bilans-en/resources/glossary#evaluation-des-bilans)**a Bilan Carbone® as well as a Regulatory GHG Assessment.** It details the principles, methodology and process of the assessment of the assessments. The guide is structured in a tree format and is accompanied by a blank evaluation report, as well as a [evaluation platform](https://www.bilancarbone-evaluation.com/guide-devaluation-des-bilans-en/resources/bibliography#plateforme-pour-levaluation-des-bilans) to which only the[evaluation team](https://www.bilancarbone-evaluation.com/guide-devaluation-des-bilans-en/process/the-evaluation-team) will have access, but whose content is identical to the blank report presented in [appendix](https://www.bilancarbone-evaluation.com/guide-devaluation-des-bilans-en/appendix-1-blank-self-assessment-report).

In addition to the assessment of the assessments, this guide also presents a guide for checking compliance with the requirements of the ESRS E1 standard of the CSRD, which does not provide an official report, but makes it possible to check whether its requirements have been met before the annual audit.&#x20;

This guide has been designed to allow the evaluation team to assess and/or check, in parallel, compliance of an assessment with the requirements of one or more (among these three) methods and regulations.
