Structure of the assessment approach

The evaluation is structured into five steps:
The collection of information specific to the evaluation
The assessment of prerequisites of the different methods
The evaluation of compliance with the methodological criteria
The information enabling these five steps to be carried out is accessible to the evaluator through different means depending on the assessment to be evaluated: for a Bilan Carbone®, the information and documents required will be returned directly to the evaluation lead by the organisation. The documents to be returned are listed in the Bilan Carbone® methodological guide. In the case of a regulatory GHG assessment, the necessary information is available on the ADEME GHG Assessment.
Steps 1 to 4 above are carried out in a dedicated evaluation tool, provided to trained and certified evaluators. Once the evaluation is finalised, step 5 is carried out by the evaluator in the evaluation platform.
Final result
If the evaluation of the Bilan Carbone® or Regulatory GHG Assessment determines that all evaluated criteria have been met, the evaluation report must state this.
Once the completed report is received, the ABC sends theevaluation certificate to the organisation whose assessment was evaluated.
