Structure of an evaluation

Source: Freepik

The assessment is structured in five stages:

  1. The collection of information specific to the assessment

  2. The assessment of the prerequisites of the different methods

  3. The assessment of compliance with the methodological criteria

The information needed to carry out these five stages is accessible to the assessor through different means depending on the assessment to be evaluated: for a Bilan Carbone®, the required information and documents will be provided directly to the evaluation project lead by the organisation. The documents to be provided are listed in the Bilan Carbone® methodological guide. In the case of a regulatory GHG assessment, the necessary information is available on the ADEME Bilan GES platform.

Stages 1 to 4 above are carried out in a dedicated evaluation toolprovided to trained and certified assessors.

Final result

If the assessment of the Bilan Carbone® or Regulatory GHG Assessment shows that all assessed criteria have been met, the evaluation report must state this.

Once the completed report is received, ABC sends theevaluation certificate to the organisation whose assessment was evaluated.
