## The assessment is structured in five stages:

1. The [**collection of information**](https://www.bilancarbone-evaluation.com/guide-devaluation-des-bilans-en/evaluation-instructions/evaluation-report-and-supporting-documents/completing-the-report) specific to the assessment
2. The assessment of the [**prerequisites** ](https://www.bilancarbone-evaluation.com/guide-devaluation-des-bilans-en/information-to-be-evaluated/information-to-be-evaluated/prerequisites-and-self-assessment)of the different methods
3. The assessment of compliance with the [**methodological criteria**](https://www.bilancarbone-evaluation.com/guide-devaluation-des-bilans-en/information-to-be-evaluated/information-to-be-evaluated/evaluation-of-compliance-with-the-methodology)
4. The assessment of the [**order-of-magnitude checks, consistency of the assessment, and relevance of its transition plan**](https://www.bilancarbone-evaluation.com/guide-devaluation-des-bilans-en/information-to-be-evaluated/information-to-be-evaluated/order-of-magnitude-estimates-consistency-and-relevance)
5. [**The transmission of the assessment result, as well as supporting documents**](https://www.bilancarbone-evaluation.com/guide-devaluation-des-bilans-en/evaluation-instructions/evaluation-report-and-supporting-documents)

The information needed to carry out these five stages is accessible to the assessor through different means depending on the assessment to be evaluated: for a Bilan Carbone®, the required information and documents will be provided directly to the evaluation project lead by the organisation. The documents to be provided are listed in the [Bilan Carbone® methodological guide](https://www.bilancarbone-evaluation.com/guide-devaluation-des-bilans-en/resources/bibliography#guide-methodologique-bilan-carbone-r). In the case of a regulatory GHG assessment, the necessary information is available on the [ADEME Bilan GES platform](https://www.bilancarbone-evaluation.com/guide-devaluation-des-bilans-en/resources/bibliography#plateforme-bilan-ges-de-lademe).

Stages 1 to 4 above are carried out in a [dedicated evaluation tool](https://www.bilancarbone-evaluation.com/guide-devaluation-des-bilans-en/resources/bibliography#outil-devaluation-des-bilans)provided to trained and certified assessors.

## Final result

If the assessment of the **Bilan Carbone®** or **Regulatory GHG Assessment** shows that all assessed criteria have been met, the evaluation report must state this.

Once the completed report is received, ABC sends the**evaluation certificate** to the organisation whose assessment was evaluated.
