# Assessment evaluation process

## The evaluation process for assessments is structured into three main stages, involving different stakeholders: 

*Some* [*infographics* ](#processus-pour-les-evaluateurs)*presented below on this page illustrate the processes specific to organisations and evaluators.*

1. **Training and certification of evaluators:** 
   * Training offered by **ABC and partner training organisations**and certification by AFNOR Certification. The prerequisites for taking the training will be explained in the subsection "[Evaluation team](https://www.bilancarbone-evaluation.com/guide-devaluation-des-bilans-en/process/the-evaluation-team)". At the end of the training and certification, the tools needed for the process are provided to evaluators by ABC
   * Registration of the evaluator in **the public directory of evaluators**. This directory is accessible via the [ABC website](https://www.bilancarbone-evaluation.com/guide-devaluation-des-bilans-en/resources/bibliography#abc-association-pour-la-transition-bas-carbone) 
2. **The evaluation:** 
   * Signing of the **tripartite contract** between the evaluation team, the organisation and ABC. Submission of the documents and files required for the evaluation (All documents to be submitted are specified in the [Bilan Carbone® methodological guide](https://www.bilancarbone-evaluation.com/guide-devaluation-des-bilans-en/resources/bibliography#guide-methodologique-bilan-carbone-r)they must be submitted before the start of the evaluation and must be written in a language mastered by the evaluation team)
   * **Evaluation**according to the procedures described in this guide and with further details in the[tool](https://www.bilancarbone-evaluation.com/guide-devaluation-des-bilans-en/resources/bibliography#outil-devaluation-des-bilans) provided to certified evaluators. The skills needed to carry it out, as well as the possible interventions, are described in the subsection "[Evaluation team](https://www.bilancarbone-evaluation.com/guide-devaluation-des-bilans-en/process/the-evaluation-team)"
   * At the end of the process, the evaluator sends the evaluation result as well as the completed evaluation tool to ABC. Once the result is received, ABC sends the**evaluation certificate** to the organisation whose assessment was evaluated.
3. **Administrative follow-up**
   * The result then makes it possible to update the database **OCCF** which will include the assessments that have been evaluated
   * The organisation will be able to **communicate** about the result of the evaluation of its Bilan Carbone® while respecting the [ABC communication guide](https://www.bilancarbone-evaluation.com/guide-devaluation-des-bilans-en/resources/bibliography#guide-de-communication-de-labc). However, the organisation is not obliged to communicate the result obtained.

Under no circumstances will it be possible to communicate externally about a result obtained through self-assessment or through the assessment of the Bilan carried out by a person **not trained and certified** in Bilan Carbone® evaluation. ## Process for organisations having their assessment evaluated
